AlmWolle Care Guide
Washing
- The washing instructions are located in the inner pocket of the sleeping bag.
- The item can be washed with a wool detergent (without protease) at a maximum of 30 °C/86 °F by hand or in the washing machine on the wool cycle.
- Turn the item inside out and close the zipper.
- Run an extra rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Spin the item only lightly (max. 600 revolutions per minute)!
Drying
On sunny days, the product can be laid flat on a drying rack to allow air circulation from both above and below, ensuring thorough drying.
Tip
- After unpacking, the product needs some time to regain its full fluffiness. To speed up this process, gently iron it with a steam iron on the silk setting before first use. This will help the wool loft faster and improve its climate-regulating properties.
- All wool products should be dried after each use to remove excess moisture.
- Airing wool products is preferable to washing. Wool products rarely need washing due to wool’s natural odour-resistant and dirt-repellent properties. For minor external dirt, we recommend spot cleaning only. Heavily soiled items can be washed in the washing machine.
- Wool sleeping bags should be stored open and dry in a storage sack. A discarded pillowcase can also serve as a storage sack.
- When packing into the compression sack, stuff the sleeping bag with the foot end first, rather than rolling or folding it.
